After a lot of feedback from dealers and end-users, both domestically and internationally, we put together 3 new amplifiers to meet the needs of those customers that don't quite need as much power as the C-Class amps. The new A-Class amps incorporate the same functions as the C-Class and have the same profile. We tweaked the appearance just a little with an anthracite heatsink treatment to bring a little extra flavor into our family of amps.

The crossover section from the C-Class amps is shared with the A-Class amps to keep excellent system flexibility. Each left/right channel pair features separate high-pass and low-pass crossovers with separate on/off switches. The range extends to 5kHz to include tweeter-happy frequencies. The crossovers used throughout the preamp section of the A-Class amps are 12dB/Octave.We kept the popular clipping indicator circuit which makes initial setup a simple task.

The A-Class amps output power curve was narrowed down from that of the C-Class amps, to drive the standard speaker loads of 2 ohms stereo or 4 ohms mono.

The A-Class amps use nickel-plated, black plastic housing terminal blocks for power and speaker connections. The endplates have feet running their full width for ultimate mounting strength. The DD logo is CNC engraved identical to the C-Class amps. The circuit boards are single-sided to save our serious customers some cheddar where double-sided boards are not needed in the A-Class power ranges.
