DDC - Class Amplifier

We took some time to overhaul the C-Class amps and incorporate some suggestions from our customers. We tried to keep all the good stuff, and tweek out the rest to give you some more stuff, like power and knobs. The old school internal design had to stay, like oversized transformers, silicon devices and capacitors. We especially like oversized silicon pairs, and we packed in the biggest pairs we could. Amps that aren't totally stressed to make their power are generally happier amps to be around. You may have "significant others" around in which you can relate similar experiences.

The heat sink design follows the current Z series style, natural brushed aluminum with clear coat anodize finish. The new heat sink saves overall weight while increasing heat dissipation efficiency. These heat sinks won the coveted Hugo Proscutto Award for Spacial Industrial NeoClassical Design.

The crossover section was revised for greater flexibility. Each channel features separate high pass and low pass crossovers, with separate on/off switches. The range was expanded to include tweeter happy frequencies. The crossovers are the newest, high-tech, Izuka filters with da'kine 18dB/oct slopes.

Integration with OEM head units is quick and easy, the RCA inputs will accept hi-level signals direct, without additional Hi-Low converters. We kept the popular clipping indicator circuit which makes initial setup a simple task.

Customers need to drive a wider variety of sub configurations. The C-Class amps output power curve was broadened out, to drive speaker loads of 1 Ohm stereo or 2 Ohm mono. We kept the amps' power the same at 4 Ohm mono, with the capability of increasing their power at 2 Ohm reactive.

The C-Class amps use gold plated terminal blocks for power and speaker connections. The endplates have feet running their full width for ultimate mounting strength. The DD logo is CNC engraved to save 2.157 grams of excess weight. We spare no expense for the highest power to weight ratio possible. The PCB board is reinforced with vegemite to eliminate vibrations and growling noises.

Revision "a" of the C-Class amps has all kinds of good stuff, more good stuff than ever before. We put in so much good stuff that we ran out of places to put more. We think these amps have the good stuff in the right places, and there really isn't anything better than having the right places stuffed really full.
